Rams Depth Chart September 5

With Final roster cuts in, I thought it would be a good idea to look at the current roster break down.

Offense:

Offense By Position

No surprises that Offensive Line and Wide Receiver hold the loins share of the offensive positions. However, the Rams are only carrying two Quarter Backs, which I think is fairly thin, especially considering the lack of experience behind Goff. This I do find a little odd. After cutting their third QB today (September 5th) and seeing Josh Rosen was cut by Miami I can’t help but wonder if he could end up by in Los Angeles.

Defense

With a total of 22 players on defense the split between offense and defense is 45.8% of the roster. What jumps out at me the most is they are only have 4 Corner Backs on the roster currently. With five players at OLB, S and DL, it is clear to me the Rams are going to attempt to play a very untraditional defensive scheme in 2020. I’m excited to see what this part of the team looks like.

With three Special Teams players rounding out the over all roster. The most interesting thing to me is the number of players by position on the defensive side. The offense has a fairly traditional split with the exception of QB.
